Mario Cianci is a Senior Instructor at the Camberwell and Doncaster East centres, and also runs the popular Tuesday morning session at Centro Box Hill (8 to 9am).
For many years in the early 1990s, Mario was suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and was encouraged by his wife to join her at Tai Chi classes run by Grand Master Eng Chor. Doing Tai Chi greatly helped him regain his energy and motivation which allowed him to return to work full-time in the fashion industry until his retirement at the age of 68.
Mario, in realising the full health benefits of doing Tai Chi and wanting to share this with the greater community, became an instructor at the college.
In 1994, with his great friend of many years and also a fellow Tai Chi Instructor at the college, Tony Donnoli, opened their first centre, the Doncaster Centre at the Beverley Hills Primary School. Together, they forged a great partnership of establishing many new Tai Chi centres, and running them together until Tony's passing in early 2013.
Mario is passionate about sharing the health benefits of doing Tai Chi with his students and teaching staff. His warm and friendly enthusiasm encourages his students to want to come back to learn from him. His supportive nature has encouraged many committed students to further improve and refine their skills to become instructors. He welcomes new students to discover the many health benefits of doing Tai Chi at any of his centres.
