Eltham Centre

The Eltham Centre is located in the beautiful mud brick hall at St Margaret’s Church in Pitt Street, Eltham. Classes are on Friday mornings with beginners tai chi and qigong from 10:00 to 11:00am and advanced qigong, tai chi and weapons from 11:00 to noon. In the nicer weather, we often have small groups dotted throughout the Church grounds under the gum trees.

The team of instructors is led by Senior Instructor Suzette Hosken. She is strongly supported by Assistant Instructors Linda Samson, James Owen and Catriona Wells, Trainee Instructors Sue Hawthorne and Judith Michael, and helpers Gary Stirton and Kirsty Freeman. We enjoy meetings each term where we chat about tai chi teaching (and all sorts of other things) over lunch and the occasional beverage at the Eltham Hotel. We regularly attend training and workshops with Grand Master Eng Chor Khor, Senior Master Chin Min Lian and Senior Instructors.

We are all true believers in the benefits and joys of tai chi and qigong and love our Friday mornings with students and each other. Eltham tai chi folk are a friendly and laid-back bunch and we warmly welcome anyone into the fold.

The centre offers:  Yang-Style Tai Chi Levels 1 – 6, Beijing 24, Phoenix Fan, 32 Sword, Flute, Shibashi Qigong Sets 1, 2 and 3, Warrior Lohan Qigong, Tao Yin, Wild Goose Qigong, Daoyin 12-Movement Qigong, Ba Duan Jin Qigong, Five Animals Qigong, Yi Jin Jing Qigong.
